PEOPLE Mag Keeps Using Horribly Unflattering Photos of Kate Middleton on its Covers

The new covers of PEOPLE Magazine and Us Weekly went for the obvious “Duchess Kate’s first days/weeks as a new mom” boilerplate type covers with no new content. It’s basically pictures you already saw online with information you already read online. There’s a smattering of new information in there, but it’s buried among all the other stuff. So let’s focus on the covers instead.

Above is the cover of PEOPLE this week. And, no, it’s not your imagination, PEOPLE keep choosing absolutely GOD awful photos of a postpartum Kate Middleton who looked a LOT better than that upon leaving the hospital. It’s the second week in a row they chose a bad photo, apparently to make her look bad and more tired than she did. To make the point, here is the photo from the week the baby was born and she looks bad in that photo too. What gives, PEOPLE?
