Kathie Lee Gifford: Kim Kardashian Should “Get Out Of The Spotlight”
Kim Kardashian is probably at the height of her over-exposure, punctuated with crying through the botox on the season finale of Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
Kardashian only filed for divorce from her runner-up three-months-ago, even though it feels like longer with all the other high profile splits since then. As we saw on the K&KTNY finale, there was no significant reason for the divorce that caused a media implosion and the moderately-negative publicity the 31-year-old has all but weathered at this point. However, she’s still getting public advice from a family friend who needs to learn to BBM rather than issuing this kind of statement to In Touch Weekly.
Kathie Lee Gifford tells ITW: “If Kim truly wants to be happy, she needs to get out of the spotlight for a long time. However long it takes to regroup and re-find herself.”
Blaming Kardashian’s blind obsession with fame, the 58-year-old continues: “She was all caught up in the planning on [the wedding]. So many people were expecting and counting on her. And a marriage is not about other people. A marriage is about two people getting married.”
Admitting the fakery EVERYONE knows by now, she concludes: “Remember, it’s called reality television, but there’s no reality to it. It’s a show. The reality is very different than what you see on TV.”
