This Again: Star Magazine Claims Katie Holmes Will “Adopt A Sister For Suri Cruise”

You know it’s a slow news week when the tabloids are pushing fabricated adoption stories about actual celebrities. This time, rather than impregnating Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, or one of the Kardashian sisters, Star Magazine is claiming that Katie Holmes is planning to expand her family to include another sibling for six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.

It’s been years since the rumours that Suri would get a sibling. It’s an easy lie to tell, because the tabloid’s readership never demands the stories come to fruition. The last comparable story came from OK! Magazine a few years back (2008/9ish), when they claimed Holmes and ex-husband Tom Cruise would try for another baby to keep their biological daughter company (she already has adoptive half-siblings about whom the tabloids seem to forget and to whom stories about a “real” siblings are rather insulting). And now Star is claiming that Holmes will have another baby, on her own. (Note: it’s been 17 weeks since the 50-year-old actor saw his youngest daughter, and Nicole Kidman appears to dismiss their eldest kids by talking about “my two daughters… my family” in a new interview).
