Katie Holmes Possibly Pregnant: Baby Bump At Vanity Fair Oscar Party?
This is one of several boilerplate stories about the usual suspects and their wombs during the 2012 Academy Awards (the other being Angelina Jolie who, posited Hollyscoop.com, engineered the leg scandal to distract people from her stomach even though there’s obviously no bump and she’s thinner than ever).
Working under the assumption that their powers of observation are waning, or it’s just a slow news week, it’s claimed in OK! that Katie Holmes is pregnant and was already showing at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party except it’s “baby story fabrication week” and she’s’ not pregnant which becomes clear in an inset cover story full of lazy, sourced supposition and guess-work.
“All their friends are convinced there will be baby news soon,” a close [friend says]. “Judging from the Oscars, it wouldn’t be a surprise if she was already expecting!”
Katie wore a flowing Elie Saab gown to the Feb. 26 event, and observers say it looked like she was hiding a bump.
The timing is right for another addition to their family. “[Tom’s] been on a monumental high,” the friend says. “And, as always with Tom, when things heat up career-wise, so do things in the bedroom. Tom’s been showering Katie with flowers and surprising her with romantic dinners.”
And Katie, 33, is ready to have a child again with her 49-year-old husband. “They’ve wanted to try for another baby, but it’s never been the right time,” the source explains. “Now, the timing’s perfect. Katie has cleared her schedule of movie offers, and she’s planning to run her Holmes & Yang fashion empire from home in L.A. during the pregnancy.”
She’s also taking other drastic steps to prepare. “Meanwhile, Katie’s being very careful with her diet,” the friend adds. “She’s taking all the usual measures to facilitate fertility, but Tom’s like an excitable pup; he’s relished fatherhood and can’t wait to welcome another child.”
But how will 5-year-old Suri handle a sibling? “Katie and Tom have both been getting her used to the idea of having a little playmate, and she’s very excited,” the friend explains. “Although it will be interesting to see how she fares when she realizes she has a bit of competition for her parents’ attention.” – via OK!
