No Longer Friends: Katy Perry Doesn’t Approve Of Rihanna Taking Back Chris Brown?
Just a few months after they were displaying pseudo-lesbian vibes at the MTV VMAs, “sources” are saying that Katy Perry “doesn’t approve” of Rihanna getting back together with Chris Brown.
US Weekly reports: “They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown.”
Thanks, mom. There were similar rumors back in November when Riri decided to skip Perry’s Halloween party. Oh dear!
Here’s the thing… and it’s not just about Perry’s disapproval (like she’s a bastion of good judgment… have you seen some of the crap she’s worn? It’s like she’s trying to cosplay Lady Gaga with kindergarten school supplies). There are literally millions of women who get abused, raped, murdered by hateful dudes every year. Why is everyone focusing on Rihanna? This is a woman with more money and more resources than she knows what to do with. She has made her decision.
Nobody knows what’s going on between Rihanna and Chris Brown. Maybe Chris Brown is the sweetest guy on the planet (I said maybe). Maybe Rihanna kicks Chris Brown in the balls every day. Maybe they both have herpes and they’re stuck together. For whatever reason, these two are clearly inseparable at the moment. Sure, they’re obnoxious, stupid and a little gross. But they’re also young, happy and incredibly rich. Let them be that way. If you could have everything you want, but just for a moment, wouldn’t you jump at that opportunity? Well it seems like that’s what they’re doing. They don’t need your help. They don’t want your help. Why are you so p**sed off? Get over it. They have.
Those who want to judge should focus their efforts on the less-fortunate punching bags. There are many. So next time you feel like getting on a virtual soap box and blogging about or tweeting some hateful s**t to Chris Brown (like telling Chris Brown to “f**k off” on Twitter makes you Gandhi), volunteer at a local woman’s shelter or donate a few dollars to an organization that supports women. Because there are people out there who actually want your help and could use it.
