Life & Style Belatedly Address Katy Perry & Russell Brand Divorce

This week’s Life & Style addresses the months’ old scandal of Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorce.
The couple filed back in December, since when there’s been a slow stream of samey news because the split was quickly overshadowed by the separation of Heidi Klum and Seal, the death of Whitney Houston, and other big stories that occured after the holidays.
Looking for an easy sell, L&S appears to be rehashing a month-old Us Weekly exclusive about Brand moving on with another woman, who’s since been identified as Oriela Medellin Amieiro, 25, who’s profiled in People and other tabs right now, and the trouble caused by Brand and Perry’s partying.
The cover reads: “Katy Finally Speaks Out: ‘I’m Such A Fool,’ A devastated Katy realizes her marriage was a sham after finding out about Russell’s partying and sleazy one-night stand.”
Firstly, that’s not a first-person quote nor is there anything here Us Weekly didn’t already address. But, for the record, L&S claims Brand is seeing Amieiro after leading on a heartbroken Perry.
It’s been just two months since Katy Perry and Russell Brand split, but Russell has clearly moved on already… the pretty brunette spotted leaving Russell’s new [Los Angeles home] in the early morning on Feb. 12 is 25-year-old model and artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro.
“It was about 9:30 in the morning, and I saw them getting into a Range Rover,” an eyewitness [says]. “She’d obviously stayed over at his house because she was in evening clothes and high heels. She threw her head back and laughed, it looked like she was having a good time.”
Sources say [Brand] has been [out] recently, clubbing and coming on to women all over LA.
In fact, less than an hour after he dropped Mexican-born Oriela home on Feb. 12, [he] headed over to Earth Bar in LA, where he often tries to pick up women. “Russell is very flirty with the ladies,” a frequent customer [says]. “He gets a lot of phone numbers, the women just hand over their numbers and he takes them.”
A week later, on Feb. 20, Russell was again surrounded by groups of women during his stand-up show at Largo in LA.
“There were girls everywhere,” an eyewitness [says]. At one point during the show, he invited a… blonde on the stage to talk about her bondage fetishes and was “very flirty with her.”
But his mood quickly changed when he found out that another woman he invited to the show was turned away. “Russell was pointing in the bouncer’s face and shouting, ‘What the f**k is your problem? How could you let this happen?’” the eyewitness says. As he stormed off into the alley to his Range Rover, a women jumped into his car.
“She waited for over five minutes while Russell was on his phone before they pulled away,” the eyewitness adds.
A longtime friend of the former couple [says] that Katy now wonders whether Russell really was the “changed man” he claimed to be when they married in October 2010. “I’m such a fool,” Katy recently confessed to the pal. “I believed in him.”
“It’s very disturbing to Katy that he’s moved on so quickly,” the friend says. “She was shocked to hear that he was out partying again and trying to pick up girls. It sickens her, she feels humiliated and burned.” – via Life & Style (with edits for readability).
