Kelly Bensimon Denies Claims Of LuAnn De Lesseps’ Infidelities, Discusses Reconciliation Possibilities

Kelly Bensimon and LuAnn de Lesseps became friends on The Real Housewives of New York and even after Kelly left the show, along with Jill Zarin and Alex McCord, following the show’s fourth season, the pair remained close. So, when it comes to LuAnn’s recent break-up with Jacques Azoulay, Kelly knows more than what fans are hearing in the tabloids.
“[LuAnn]‘s doing really well,” Kelly revealed to Wetpaint Entertainment during an event in New York City last night. “You know, there’s a lot of love there.”
Although there have been rumors that LuAnn’s alleged cheating during the filming of season 5 had something to do with the break-up, Kelly insists that there was no cheating on LuAnn’s part.
“Sometimes when you have a relationship, it doesn’t always have to be that bitter, crazy breakup,” Kelly explained. “It can actually be a loving parting of ways. And LuAnn is a beautiful, gracious woman and that’s the kind of breakup she’s having.”
However, that doesn’t mean that fans will see a LuAnn/Jacques reconciliation any time soon. “Oh, I don’t know,” Kelly said. “She’s a beautiful woman and Jacques is such a nice guy. And I’m just so proud of how much love they have for each other. It’s a great role model for how to grown-up people can move on from a situation.”
Speaking of moving on, LuAnn recently revealed that her ex-husband Count Alexandre de Lesseps is still in love with her, and that they have been in touch quite often as of late.
Unfortunately, Kelly couldn’t reveal whether or not LuAnn is considering a relationship with The Count, but she did say, “He’s a great man, she’s a great woman. I can’t speak to them getting back together, but everyone LuAnn’s been with has been amazing.”
