Kelly Clarkson Covers Us Weekly: How She “Lost 30 lbs” & Tabloid Covers
The remaining tabloid covers were released rather late, so they’re being included with Us Weekly Magazine’s story about Kelly Clarkson.
On the promotional trail for her new music, Clarkson has been talking about how happy she is in her relationship and how it’s ruining her artistry because she’s too in love to write maudlin songs (think Adele). For the cover of Life & Style, the American Idol alum is talking about her weight loss in what appears to be an actual exclusive. Whereas the Us Weekly cover feels generic. But, at least, for Us Weekly, Clarkson gets a cover to herself. The headline says: “Kelly Clarkson: How I Lost 30 lbs. Her simple diet plan that will work for you; How a new boyfriend boosted her confidence.”
The remaining covers are below, although there’s nothing else noteworthy this week aside from the Globe. GOD, Globe.
* Reality Weekly Magazine’s cover says: “Maci, Amber, Farrah: Teen Mom Tell-All. All The Details. Lesbian obsessions, death threats, sex tapes, and more.” A source tells the tabloid: “No one knows who is behind it and it’s caused a lot of tension. There are so many things that have been swept under the carpet. MTV had to edit them out because they were so hard-core. More than one of the Teen Moms has a sex tape, so those details will definitely be in the book.”
* National Enquirer’s cover says: “Tom & This Woman: Half Naked In Bed. Inside: Racy photos that will tear Cruise marriage apart. Will Katie walk out?” Notice the lack of specifics, like the “other woman’s” name and relation to Cruise on the cover and… WHOSE bed?
* Globe’s horrid cover says: “After Two Tragic Deaths (Robin Gibb, Donna Summer): Who’ll Die Next? Stars’ Secret Health Shockers. What they’re hiding: Liza Minnelli in agony; Heather Locklear booze & pills nightmare; O.J. Simpson stroke danger; Demi Moore suicide fears; George Jones new hospital drama; Mary Tyler Moore brain tumor; Nick Nolte falling apart.
