Kelly Rowland And Paulina Rubio In Talks To Join The X Factor For Season 3

Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio may be joining Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell at the judges’ table for the upcoming season of The X Factor. Following season two, it was announced that both Britney Spears and L.A. Reid would not be returning to the show, thus leaving two open spots. Could Rowland and Rubio be the ones to fill them?
According to TMZ sources, Rowland and Rubio are in final negotiations to come aboard the show for the third season and their deals should be done by tomorrow.
Over the weekend, The Wrap reported that casting is going a bit differently this time around with producers being much more careful in whom they pick for the judges’ panel. Instead of hiring the big names, they are also looking at their chemistry with the returning judges, Lovato and Cowell.
Recently, Lovato hinted that she is already in the loop as to who will be coming aboard, telling Live From MTV, “Me and Simon have talked, and I’m excited for what he is thinking.”
Both Rowland and Rubio seem to have great resumes to bring to the show. Rowland sat on the judges’ panel on the eighth season of The X Factor UK and hosted Bravo’s The Fashion Show. Rubio has coached on The Voice Mexico and will do the same on the upcoming Spanish television show The Voice Kids.
Khloe Kardashian-Odom is also out for season three after a lackluster hosting debut last season, which some called hard to watch, leaving Mario Lopez to handle the hosting duties alone.
Auditions for The X Factor season three are set to begin on Tuesday in Charleston, South Carolina.
