Kim Kardashian’s Sisters Kendall & Kylie Jenner May Land Spin-Off Show
Kim Kardashian’s teenage half-sisters may have landed their own reality show(s), since pimp momager has an entire demographic to shill to and product doesn’t sell itself.
Kendall Jenner, 16, who’s a model and already out-earning her bum brother Rob Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, 14, could land their own spin-off(s), in which pimp momager would try to skew the already alarmingly-young Kardashian audience even younger for the sake of money and ratings.
Plans are being made for up to three spinoffs from the popular show that will feature the youngest daughters of the family, 14-year-old Kylie and 16-year-old Kendall.
The head of the cable channel E! has revealed she plans to add more Kardashians to the roster of TV shows featuring the family. Bonnie Hammer said the network is looking at making shows featuring mum Kris Jenner’s two daughters with husband Bruce.
The two youngest [Jenners] feature in Keeping up with the Kardashians but have minor roles compared to the older sisters. But, with Kris’ careful coaching, they are emerging as young starlets on the scene.
Kendall recently launched a modelling career while Kylie is dating Australian pop star Cody Simpson.
Rob Kardashian, who was a runner up in the Dancing with the Stars reality show, is also being looked at for a possible show.
Hammer, 61, told The Hollywood Reporter magazine there could be ‘two, three, even four Kardashian’ spin-offs.But top TV executive, who was named as the second most powerful woman in Hollywood by the magazine, admitted the current crop of Kardashians was ‘too fragile’ for the network. – via The Daily Mail.
That last caveat that people are burned out and the divorce torpedoed the brand is pretty hilarious. Moreover, with Kourtney & Kim Take New York opening to records numbers it’s presently untrue.
However, there is Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its spin-offs with the older children; Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, K&KTNY, Khloe & Lamar, and the ill-fated Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event. And now, adding to the confusion if it’s not scheduled carefully, Kendall & Kylie (which sounds better than Kylie & Kendall) and maybe a show for Bum/ Glorified Couch-Surfer Kardashian.
Hammer adds that, after allegations of staging the wedding special to basically steal advertising dollars, E! won’t rely on Kim Kardashian’s brand anymore.
Critics accused 31 year old Kim, the most high profile of the siters,of staging a sham marriage to cash in on a two hour TV special screened by E!
The wedding was reported to have generated up to $18m in income for the Kardashians although mum Kris denied they had profited. Hammer told the Hollywood Reporter the marriage was not a stunt. But in a lengthy interview profiling her career Fuller also admitted that E! would not be so reliant on Kim Kardashian and the staged antics of her sisters.
She said of the show: “I think it will have its own life expectancy and we’ll go along with it and help hone what’s right for E! and what’s not right for E! as we develop a whole other world.”
Speaking of the short lived marriage she said: “This was not a stunt. In no way did people believe this was going to happen.
I think true Kardashian fans know that a bigger than life mistake can be made easily in their world. Everything they do is bigger than life, it just part of their DNA.” – via The Daily Mail.
