The Daily Mail was the first to report exclusively, yesterday, that Kim Kardashian had given birth (TMZ.com reported the same thing hours later but claimed their belated confirmation as “exclusive”).
The 32-year-old first-time mother was taken to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles Saturday where she (seemingly) very quickly gave birth to her daughter.
It’s been nearly 24 hours, and so more information has been released about Kardashian’s baby’s birth weight and name.

What happened leading up to Kim going into labour?
According to sources for E! News and PEOPLE, Kanye West was “by Kim’s side” during the delivery. Which, frankly, seemed to be well-timed coincidence for Kardashian because her boyfriend happened to be in town for an album listening party Friday afternoon that he skipped out on “15 minutes” beforehand when Kardashian complained about “feeling ill.”
An onlooker tells PEOPLE of Kardashian’s arrival at Cedars: she “looked very exhausted and tried to be incognito… Kanye seemed very supportive. It looked like support in pain and labor.”
Did she delivery naturally or via Cesarean section?
TMZ previously noted the baby is five-weeks premature and it was a natural birth.

E! notes the baby weighed “under five pounds,” and WILL have a “K” name. Also, the baby has dark hair and looks like her mother.

Kim gave birth at Cedars Sinai Hospital, the same place where her sis Kourtney Kardashian delivered her little ones, Penelope and Mason. And while it wasn’t clear if Kanye was in Los Angeles prior to the birth, given that he didn’t attend his Yeezus listening party last night, a source told E! News her rapper beau was right by Kim’s side during the delivery.
Kim was due to deliver the baby in July, but gave birth five weeks early. However, Kim delievered the baby girl naturally and both mother and baby are happy and healthy, E! News confirms.
A source tells E! News exclusively that the baby girl weighed in at “under five pounds” and is definitely a Kardashian Mini Me: “She has dark hair. She looks just like Kim.”
The proud parents haven’t revealed the baby’s name just yet, but a source tells E! News that Kim told friends and family in the weeks leading up to the birth that the name “will start with a K.”
The E! star has also told friends she and Kanye talked about using his late mom’s name, Donda, as the baby’s middle name. – via E! News.
