Kim Kardashian’s Divorce Also Covers OK! & Us Weekly Magazine

November 3, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Kim Kardashian filing for divorce landed four of the main six tabloid cover this week. She landed People and Life & Style, both of whom deigned to cover the split, recycling covers and using filler inside the issue. Kardashian also landed OK! and Us Weekly. She didn’t land the cover of Star, which went to Justin Bieber’s alleged baby mother. And she didn’t land the cover of InTouch Weekly, who are still banging on about Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, weeks after people have lost interest and it’s been established they’re in couple’s therapy and still wearing their rings.

Both covers use random, filler images since neither landed a divorce cover. Probably because, as Kris Jenner just confirmed, there’ll be no E! divorce special and no paid-for divorce sit-down interview: “We are not filming right now and didn’t do all this for the show. At the moment, I’m 100 percent mom, not manager. It’s been hard to talk with Kim as she’s in Australia with Khloe. Khloe is the Kim police and very protective about Kim. She could have canceled but, once again, she didn’t want to let her fans down…. She will not be selling a divorce interview.”

* OK! Magazine is the king of creative fiction and they’ve got a recycled cover too. They use a photo from the ceremony, the first of them as man and wife. Kardashian’s cousin Cindy Behr is quoted in the issue: “I could tell right away they didn’t know each other very well. At her shower, Kris was a big, goofy, funny kid, and you could tell she was irritated with him.”

* Us Weekly also used a photo from the shill wedding that took place 75 days ago. The issue’s just a lazy rehash of everything covered in the Kim Kardashian gossip section of the site: Kardashian gave her estranged husband an ultimatum about finding more work to support himself; Kris Humphries was supposed to be at her Halloween event, but bailed on her; Kardashian was in love but knew ”It felt wrong.” She got cold feet, but ”she felt like she couldn’t turn back.”
