Kim Kardashian Filed For Divorce, Kris Humphries Blindsided
Kim Kardashian just filed divorce papers against Kris Humphries, since she’s leaving him for being the runner-up.
TMZ.com reported about an hour ago that Kardashian was minutes away from filing for divorce. People.com’s source soon chimed in, confirming that Kardashian only got married for the shill money; suggesting she never really loved her slow second husband.
Well, it just happened and Kardashian filed papers found HERE. The date of separation is today, and she’s citing “irreconcilable differences.” She’s in Australia right now, while he’s home in Minnesota. TMZ says one reason for the split is they couldn’t agree where to live once Kourtney & Kim Take New York season two wrapped (the filming she put ahead of taking a real honeymoon). He reportedly wanted to stay in Minnesota, while she wanted to remain in Los Angeles for her career and her family.
Kardashian made sure to have a prenup, so Humphries gets nothing. The divorce papers say she’d rather each pay their own lawyers’ fees and she’s against spousal support for their 72-day marriage (she could get it annulled, but she hired celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser for the real thing).
He’d reportedly rather save the marriage, telling friends he’s “bummed” and doesn’t believe in divorce because of his religion. TMZ says he admitted to friends they had marital trouble, and discussed divorce, but he’d rather work it out than quit. He reportedly didn’t know she’d file until… she did (he found out when you did). He’s also adamant he never cheated.
The split comes after weeks of reports about frosty body language, faking it and interacting only for the cameras, her family hating him, his family thinking she’s vulgar… and he’s missed most key events this month except support of Kardashian’s brother on Dancing With The Stars and her 31st birthday in Las Vegas a week ago.
