ITW: Hollywood Turns On Kim Kardashian; Attacked, Abandoned, Fame Slipping Away

May 16, 2012 by Hollywoodite

This week’s In Touch Weekly cover is rather convoluted and dramatic. But it was expected that Wednesday would be a deluge of random Kardashian news, and covers, only days before the premiere of season seven of their tentpole show.

According to ITW, the incidents of Kim Kardashian reportedly being banned from the MET Gala, banned from the cover of American Vogue, and shunned by Beyonce and Beyonce’s inner circle, are indicative of a wider trend: Hollywood has turned on the reality star.

The cover reads: “Attacked By A-List Stars, Banned From Hot Parties, & Abandoned By Kanye; The fame she worked so hard for is slipping away. Hollywood Turns On Kim: Beyonce, ‘Stay away from Jay-Z,’; Gwyneth, ‘She’s low class,’; J Lo, ‘Stop Using Me For Fame.’”

The story basically leans on Kanye West, and seems to expect him to drag Kardashian around Hollywood, demanding people welcome and accept her type of celebrity acquiescently. He’s still getting invited everywhere and, evidently, she’s not. But it wouldn’t be his prerogative to force his girlfriend on his social circle/ contacts/ colleagues. But ITW’s sources seem to blame West for failing to give Kardashian an instant boost in credibility; for the “try” backfiring.

In Touch has learned that Kanye went as far as to ask renowned designer Tory Burch, who dressed him for the exclusive gala, for help. “He asked Tory if Kim could accompany him as his date,” a fashion insider tells In Touch. “There was nothing Tory could do against Anna’s wishes, but if Kanye had requested to invite a well-liked celebrity, it surely wouldn’t have been an issue.”

“She was so upset that he went to the Met event without her,” an insider shares of the star.

After Kim’s quickie divorce filing, her onetime friends began abandoning her in droves, with former pals like Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé and Eva Longoria keeping their distance. Kim’s splashy TV wedding “didn’t sit well” with Gwyneth Paltrow either. “She’d die if she were photographed next to Kim,” a pal tells In Touch. “She hates what she stands for.”

Sadly, Kim is far from well-liked these days. “She’s always wanted to surround herself with famous people, but they don’t want anything to do with her anymore,” confides a source close to the 31-year-old. – via In Touch Weekly Magazine.
