Kim Kardashian Is Married – Wedding Dress, Guest List, Ceremony Details
Kim Kardashian just married Kris Humphries in something that’s not reminiscent of the royal wedding, 2.0. or otherwise, unless any adult stars got married that day too. This is Kardashian’s second wedding after a failed marriage of four-years beginning as a teenager. Since then she’s… been in a leaked tape and dated a succession of randoms and sports guys. And one of them proposed, so she married that one. Kardashian appears to be happy with this random, so let’s be happy for her. Happy doesn’t mean delusional. Let’s not get carried away.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Kardashian-Humphries wedding was shilled for $1.9M+; with bridal shower photos going for $100,000 to OK!, the engagement announcement going to People for $300,000 and the wedding day photos to People for $1.5 million.
And People is getting a lot for its money.
At this point, there are yet to be leaked photos of the wedding guests, the decor, or Kardashian in her dress. So, the security mentioned in the last post did its job. There don’t even appear to be aerial photos, just the stock ones of the estate where they married and a few of the cars carrying guests to the wedding… where the guests weren’t clearly visible.
Speaking of which, Ellen DeGeneres begged on Twitter for a wedding invite and she was accepted, so it would seem the “50 rejects” theory wasn’t quite accurate. To the begging, Kardashian replied, “Of course u are invited!!!! COME! RT @TheEllenShow: No invitation to @KimKardashian’s wedding yet. #WorstThingInTheWorld.”
The remaining filler/ strangers invited to the corporate shill for goods bartered for airtime included: Demi Lovato, Babyface, Vera Wang, Mario Lopez, Mark Ballas, Ciaro and Carmelo Anthony, Eva Longoria, and Eduardo Cruz, Alan Thicke, Maria Menounos, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kathy Lee Gifford, Brit Gastineau, Greta Van Sustren, Jillian Barberie, Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, and Dina, Ali and Lindsay Lohan. The Lohans were last at their hotel because their mother was taking a late flight out of NYC and they were attending together.
Kardashian’s latest blog post, cross-posted to People and E! is essentially a press release for a product launch.

Ugh. It’s barely even a press release, it’s more a listicle of shills.
How romantic.
People got the exclusive details and all Us Weekly were left with was redundant “confirmation” that the wedding took place and a tidbit about the tacky knock-off royal wedding cake, “A source tells Us that the newlyweds’ cake – a sugary confection from Hansen Cakes in L.A. – costs a whopping $15,000 to $20,000! The source says the cake is a knockoff of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s wedding cake from their April 29 wedding.” The couple seems really desperate for the royal comparisons. Maybe a big, classy affair would have done it. Overspending and knocking-off royal wedding treats did not a royal wedding 2.0 make.
The couple… wed at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., in front of 440 guests.
As stepfather Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle, Kardashian, 30, donned an ivory custom-designed Vera Wang gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and train. She wore Guiseppe Zanotti shoes.
The groom, 26, sported a made-to-measure white peak lapel tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants with white tuxedo shirt and white bow tie – all by Ermenegildo Zegna – and the couple exchanged rings by Lorraine Schwartz, who also designed the engagement ring.
The bride was joined by sisters Kourtney, 32, and Khloe, 27, who served as her co-maids of honor. Younger sisters Kendall, 15, and Kylie Jenner, 14, and Humphries’s sister, Kaela, were bridesmaids. The ring bearer was Kourtney’s 21-month-old son, Mason Disick.
All the groomsmen, including the bride’s brother Robert Kardashian, wore matching black peak lapel tuxedos, white tuxedo shirts and black silk bow ties, again all by Zegna – who also dressed fathers of the bide and groom, Bruce Jenner and William Humphries, in matching black peak lapel tuxedos, white tuxedo shirts and silk bow ties.
For later in the evening, Kim planned two more changes, both Vera Wang ivory dresses, with a Judith Leiber clutch. The first was a Georgette mermaid gown with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and a skirt with hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery. The other Vera Wang dress was a bias-cut crepe back satin gown with V-neck and circle skirt.
At the reception, the groom changed into a black peak lapel Zegna tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt and black silk bow tie, to match his groomsmen. – via People.
Yeah, People got the good exclusives and Us Weekly is going to do as usual… spend the next week wringing sources for informational shrapnel. It’ll be an information overload back and forth. There’s little more to care about, except a photo of the shill dresses, THR confirms they were free in exchange for promotion on Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event. So Kardashian earned $1.9 million from the tabloids plus the deals bartered for free promotion, plus whatever she earns from her two-part wedding special. The wedding is costing around $500,000.
