Kim Kardashian: I Ignored My Family’s Warnings About Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night in what felt like a contrived (or conveniently-timed) counter to this week’s tabloid claims that she’s been lying about everything to do with her second marriage and pending divorce.
Kris Humphries’ lawyer gave an exclusive interview with Life & Style this week and, to paraphrase, called Kardashian a liar responsible for smearing his client. More specifically, the Kardashians were responsible for the “misdirections” about Humphries in the media because they’ve got the media channels and money to do so.
Leaving Kardashian, 31, to say her family warned her the marriage would fail but she did it anyway. Not admitting that she married for money and publicity, Kardashian told Leno she was in love and so she went with her heart. But the “mistake” made her stronger, which is her asinine go-to when she’s confronted about things like this.
“I’m a person where if I’m in love, you can’t tell me anything,” Kardashian told Leno of her 72-day marriage. “I did what I believed in doing, and sometimes you don’t want to hear what your family has to say. I wouldn’t have been who I am today hadn’t I gone through that.”
