Us Weekly: Kim Kardashian & Kanye West “Crazy Love, The Real Story”

April 11, 2012 by Hollywoodite

It’s no surprise that pro-Kardashian mouthpiece Us Weekly, who went on Kim Kardashian’s honeymoon to take staged photos and landed her sister’s pregnancy reveal, has another cover about the family.

This time, the magazine is trying to appear a little more neutral. Although, make no mistake, the tabloid remains firmly in the pocket of pimp momager with a birth in the family within the next 10-weeks (the baby reveal for which could make everyone a lot of money).

As such, the tabloid’s cover reads: “The Real Story: Crazy Love. True romance or desperate stunt? After years of flirting, Kanye finally pursuades Kim to give him a shot. Inside their lavish shopping sprees, lavish dinners and a Paris getaway.” The “shopping” refers to the pap-heavy trip to FAO Schwarz. The “dinners” refer to the pap-heavy dining in New York City. The Paris trip was work-related, for Paris Fashion Week, not a vacation.

A source tells the tabloid the relationship is not a publicity stunt, with Kanye West “genuinely head over heels,” asserting that Kardashian will be thrust upon West’s friend Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce. “It’s not a PR stunt,” adds Us Weekly’s source. “They’re perfect for each other. He thinks she’s his Beyonce!”

The source continues: “[West pursued Kardashian] for a long time. Now that Kim has gotten over the Kris drama… she sees how much Kanye loves her. Kanye loves her Kimness. She’s great the way she is and if people hate on them, he’ll only like her more. Kim can pay her own way and she’s not riding his coattails. He loves that she’s a powerful business lady.”

In related news, Page Six claims Kardashian plans to give her wedding gifts to charity; the same gifts that are a point of contention in the divorce.

Kim Kardashian… sent out printed cards to her guests who attended her ill-fated wedding to Kris Humphries, saying due to the “unfortunate” turn of events, gifts given to the momentarily happy couple will be given to charity.

But one guest griped to us, “What is a charity going to do with a Tiffany picture frame or an onyx vase? And, this is nine months after the wedding. Why is she doing it now?”

With a wedding registry that included a $6,500 Tourbillon black vase, a $7,500 Baccarat onyx vase and a $3,000 set of napkin rings, it is not certain how useful, or acceptable, Kim’s wedding haul might be for a charity.

She also gave a $200,000 donation to the Dream Foundation, a move sources say was planned to make her look better amid the backlash (but also offers a nice tax advantage).

A rep for Kim earlier denied that she got a luxury Italian sports car from one guest but asked yesterday about the plan to give the gifts to charity, said, “Old news!” – via Page Six.
