E! Damage Control: Kim Kardashian Was Not Snubbed By Anna Wintour

E! News has gone into damage control mode about this week’s anti-Kardashian stories; news spreading with equal parts Schadenfreude and fremdschämen.
It was claimed by RadarOnline.com (whose sister outlet Star Magazine has had a bunch of negative Kardashian stories the past year, in all fairness), that Kim Kardashian was snubbed for being gauche and beneath the Met Costume Gala and the cover of American Vogue. Specifically, claimed a source, Kardashian was not welcome at the gala attended by boyfriend Kanye West. Nor will she ever cover Vogue Magazine because Anna Wintour “hates” the reality star.
A RadarOnline source claimed: “Anna hates Kim. Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all. The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can’t even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does not want her there! Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn’t invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie. She would have done anything to be there with all the A-listers.”
E!, the network for which Keeping Up With The Kardashians is the tentpole, sort of proved them right with this contrived rebuttal.
An E! source says Kardashian had a commitment in Los Angeles for an all-day photo shoot with a European fashion magazine: “She couldn’t have gone even if she wanted to. The shoot was scheduled for months in advance.”
