Kim Kardashian Is Free At Last! She’s Finally Officially Divorced!
Kim Kardashian can finally breathe easy and no longer worry about having her baby while still being married to Kris Humphries, because they are officially DIVORCED.
After a multi-million dollar televised wedding, 72 days of marriage and almost two years of back and forth drama from both parties, a judge finally dissolved the marriage between Kardashian and Humphries in today’s court hearing.
According to sources, both parties have spent close to $300,000.00 in legal fees by their inability to reach a mutual divorce settlement. It is reported by TMZ.com that Humphries walked away with nothing; he had previously demanded $7 million from his ex-wife. He also dropped his demand for an annulment based on fraud. Each party will pay for their own attorney’s fees. It is said the judge stated to Kardashian, “Congratulations on your dissolution.”
This will be the second divorce for Kardashian, whose first marriage was to record producer Damon Thomas in 2000, she was just 19-years-old. The marriage only lasted four years and the former couple also went through a messy divorce in 2004, with Kardashian claiming Thomas physically and mentally abused her. There was no reality show or cameras chronicling her first marriage.
Now that the mother-to-be is officially divorced, she and Kanye West can now celebrate and move on with their lives as they are about to become first-time parents. Now that Kardashian is divorced and pregnant with West’s baby, will we soon receive an engagement announcement along with a birth announcement from the happy couple? Maybe for Kardashian, third time will be the charm.
