Kim Kardashian’s Reaction To Jon Hamm Calling Her An “Idiot”

March 13, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Earlier this week, quotes circulated from Elle UK that appeared to have actually been published in February without much fanfare. In the interview, taken from a Q&A session the same month, Jon Hamm tells an audience it has become cool to be stupid and he finds distasteful Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and reality stars of that ilk, who monetize their vapidity.

He said, specifically: “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly. Incuriousness has become cool… It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Well, Kardashian learned of this a few days later and tweeted about it. She mostly lay off the passive-aggression and instead used the opportunity to re-work her official title of “Retired Pr0n Star Whose Mother Is Great At Marketing.”

In her message she said: “I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, stupid, is in my opinion careless.”

A few things:

* Tweeting and blogging aren’t writing.

* Demanding smearing, slanderous edits in post-production isn’t writing either, nor is it producing.

* (Allegedly) stealing purse and jewellery designs from more-talented designers “designing,” nor is it “creating.”

Kardashian decided to poke fun of Hamm’s comment by wearing a blonde wig, with the caption: “Blonde hair don’t care”
