Kim Kardashian Trying To Impress Tim Tebow Using Religion?

The new issue of OK! has a slightly convoluted story that, one suspects, is only in the issue because whomever is alone in the creative fiction department has a copy of last week’s copy of National Enquirer. Remember, OK! is basically rehashing old Enquirer stories now. Including this one about Kim Kardashian and Tim Tebow that Enquirer were quick to append with, basically, “Tebow would never, because Kim’s a gauche pr0n star.”
That hasn’t stopped OK! from running with what feels like an outdated item about Kardashian’s supposed crush on the athlete. You know, the NFL player. The kind of sportsman Kardashian leaked to TMZ.com that she’d never date again?
Well, OK! is labouring the point with claims the 31-year-old re-shot scenes for her reality show to make herself look religious and impress Tebow. And, yes, that’s supposedly why she’s writing B.S. tweets about wanting to start a bible study and why she’s posing for paid-for photos outside church with fellow marriage-hater LeAnn Rimes.
“On my way to church with the girls!” [Kim] said to her almost 13 million followers. “I want to start a Bible study group with my friends!”
Insiders say Kim’s sudden display of piety may have an ulterior motive: [she] is trying to [bag] Tim Tebow, the religious Denver Broncos quarterback, the guy who kneels and prays on the field, and self-proclaimed 24-year-old virgin.
“Anyone who knows Kim knows what she’s up to,” a source tells OK!. “She thinks Tim’s hot and she knows dating him would really boost her image. And Kim could really use some help in that department.”
“If he were just the average athlete, Kim would pull the same move she used on Kris,” [says the source], adding: get front-row seats to his game and send a message to the locker room with her number. But Tim’s different. “She can’t just use her sexuality. [But]… when she decides she wants someone, she goes out and gets him.”
And so Kim called on a higher power. “She set her sights on Tim months ago,” the source says. “She shot extra scenes for Kourtney & Kim Take New York, making sure she emphasized her Christian beliefs.
Another insider who’s close to Kim isn’t so cynical, arguing that her spiritual side is well-developed and that it plays into her attraction to Tim.
“Kim thinks Tim is a dream,” [the second] insider tells OK!. “She appreciates his courage to weather criticism about being publicly religious. So I think Kim is inspired by that act of bravery. As for the bible study, that’s nothing new. Her family was very committed to their spiritual ideas, very Catholic.”
But will it be enough? “Kim’s not Tim’s type at all,” a Tim insider tells OK!. “He likes down-to-earth girls who aren’t high maintenance. And the sex tape is the type of thing that grosses him out.” – OK! Magazine, Celebitchy (with minor edits for readability).
Aside from a few details, isn’t this just a copy pasta of the Enquirer’s story? Including the stuff about this being a shill to rehab her image and even Enquirer’s caveat that Tebow would never because Kardashian’s got a bad reputation and a s3x tape.
Well there’s a little new information, about the supposed re-shoots. Kardashian somehow found time after staging other scenes to make herself look like the wronged party in the split. But there was very little on K&KTNY about her supposed religious views. Since the finale, however, she’s been more aggressive about it with those contrived, insincere tweets and those photos with Rimes.
