Kim Kardashian: Selfie Was A “Middle Finger To The World On Everyone That Called Me Fat”
Kim Kardashian appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she talked about her baby, body, and third wedding.
Asked about a recent selfie in which she’s showing her postpartum body in a bathing suit, Kim told the host,”[It’s] a big middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat.”
“It really hurt my soul,” she added, of cruel headlines calling her a whale while she was six-months pregnant. “It changed how I am in the public a little bit. I would go out and there would just be photos of me anytime I was hungry… and these stories where I was like 200 pounds.” She adds, missing the irony, “I live more of a private life [now].”
“Why would I subject myself to so much negativity? Especially now that I have a daughter. I just don’t need that energy. I rather be in a happy place, when I’m home,” she asks.
She continues, “it was the greatest challenge of my life to have gained 50 pounds”.
Kanye already confirmed they’re getting married summer 2014 when the Yeezus tour ends, Kim adds, “He definitely knows what he wants, and I want him to have whatever he wants.”
She talks more about becoming Kim Kardashian West, “My daughter has the last name West and we’re a family,” she says. ”So I want it to definitely be West.”
“She’s the sweetest little girl,” Kim gushes of her baby girl, North West. “She never cries. She’s a perfect little angel. I hope she grows up to be smart and opinionated like her dad.”
