Is Kim Kardashian A Bad Mother For Leaving North West At Home?

October 10, 2013 by Hollywoodite

When Kim Kardashian was pregnant, the tabloids delighted in fat-shaming her and fabricating weight gain that wasn’t even there. For example, guessing based on unflattering photos National Enquirer and others claimed she weighed “200 lbs”. She went into hiding because she was so conscious about her weight, and was criticised for hiding too when she was really spending time with her kid.

The same tabloids said she hid at Kanye’s behest because otherwise, as they claimed with the baby weight, he would get frustrated and leave. In that same vein, like they’ve criticised Kanye for being an absentee father, they’re now calling Kim a bad mother for actually leaving the house with the man she “can’t keep happy.” She went to Paris Fashion Week, her “coming out party”, while North was left with grandmother Kris Jenner. However, only Kim is the “bad parent,” according to Life & Style, who have released this really mom-shaming cover.

The cover says “Kourtney to Kim: ‘How can you leave baby Nori alone? Act like a mom already!’ Three months after giving birth, Kim leaves her baby 6,000 miles away for wild parties, trashy outfits, and fashion shows.” Incidentally, that last part, a TMZ TV presenter posited last week, to paraphrase, “It’s a thing women do to show a lot of cleavage to distract from problem areas.” As in, Kim is wearing that “trashy outfit” to deflect from the tabloid’s fat-shaming… which led to mom-shaming instead. Ugh.

Here’s a teaser from the story: Leaving her three-month old behind, Kim Kardashian jetted to Paris to hob knob with fashion royalty — and wear extremely provocative clothing while doing it. But while the new mom had the time of her life, her sister, mom of two Kourtney, was furious. How could Kim just abandon little North like that?
