Should Kim Kardashian Slow Down With Her Prenatal Exercise Regime?
March 11, 2013 by Hollywoodite
Kim Kardashian has been working out once or twice per day with multiple trainers who are helping her to manage her prenatal weight.
According to multiple sources, Kardashian is concerned about the baby weight she’s gained already and doesn’t want to get any bigger. And cruel tabloid reports suggest that boyfriend Kanye West is turned off by his girlfriend’s pregnancy body and, for that and a myriad of other reasons, he’s been pulling away from Kardashian and her whole family. On top of that, whatever it is Kardashian does that requires intercontinental travel has seen her in Europe, Africa, and both coasts of America in the past few months for promotional work that apparently couldn’t wait until after she had the baby. And she had a medical issue last week that Page Six says was a “miscarriage scare” while RadarOnline.com says it’s a long-con to guilt Kris Humphries into granting a divorce.
In any case, there’s a lot of stress, a lot of travel, and what’s perceived to be excessive weigh management. And according to a new report, Kardashian should probably slow it down or face real danger!
“The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that pregnant women exercise at a moderate level for 30 minutes or more per day on most, if not all, days of the week throughout pregnancy, including second trimester,” Leah Keller, personal trainer who is an expert in pre- and postnatal fitness [says].
“The key here is moderate. Any workout during pregnancy should leave a woman feeling invigorated and energized – never drained,” Leah continues. “Listening to your body during pregnancy is crucial. It’s especially important to stay well hydrated and avoid overheating.”
Even though Kim has enlisted the help of celebrity fitness guru Tracy Anderson to help her pregnancy workout routine, she is constantly seen headed to and from the gym. A source close to the reality star also revealed to Star magazine that because she’s so afraid of gaining weight, she is working out extra hard with more than one trainer.
But that can prove dangerous. “One common risk throughout pregnancy is dehydration, and this can be heightened when exercising,” Leah adds. “Listen to your body. Rest when tired. Over-training is never a good idea, especially during pregnancy.”
After her doctors told her to slow down on March 5 and rest following a frightening health scare on the long plane ride back to Paris, hopefully Kim gets the rest she needs… and slows down her busy schedule, including workouts. – via Hollywood Life.
