Kim Kardashian: Wedding COST Me Money, I Didn’t Make A Dime!

November 2, 2011 by Hollywoodite

At this point, it’s pretty well established that the timing proves this whole thing’s a ratings ploy for Kourtney & Kim Take New York season two. Kim Kardashian filed divorce papers one year to the DAY after first setting eyes on her second husband. They were reportedly paired by E! and they had an arranged marriage. Allegedly. And she filed on Monday, the last day for a scandal to make the Wednesday tabloids. She filed while her mother was on a book tour. She filed three days after a weird, negative, foreshadowing second promotional trailer for K&KTNY.

Trailer two, released this weekend, is at the top; the first, original, directly underneath.

Notice anything?

The soundtrack.

The song in the trailer is Wild Heart by Sabi (who’s also featured on Drop Dead Beautiful by Britney Spears). The song’s about admitting failure in a relationship after a guy fails to live up to expectations. Look at the lyrics…

“I tried to control it, I tried to maintain it, tried to contain it; But I failed terribly and I don’t know what  to do; I tried to hold back, and accept the fact, we ain’t perfect; And what we got goin’ on, might leave us both with bruises… Neither one of us, wanted either one to say goodbye; But both of us keep hittin’, keep on screamin’ and we don’t know why, we’re in love; DAMN This wild heart of mine, it’s gonna get me in trouble; ‘Cause I love yah, at least I think I do… Look me in the eyes, and tell me with no lies, that you can be a better man, but I don’t think you could.” [Excerpts for emphasis – Safi, Wild Heart]

What kinds of lyrics are those for a show about a happy couple? The uppermost trailer was released three days BEFORE the split was announced (note the upload date if you click through to its YouTube page). There was no reason to make it so foreboding.

Kris Humphries’ family is reportedly devastated that his wife gave up without a fight. TMZ.com’s sources report her in-laws think she’s making a mistake since ‘everyone fights.’ Basically, they feel she’s a quitter and the marriage is salvageable.

Also, Humphries is pulling out of a shill event he probably arranged with THAT publicist Kardashian hated. People.com says he starred in promo posters but pulled out of hosting a party Saturday at the Chateau Nightclub inside Sin City’s Paris Hotel. He’s currently at home, in Minnesota, ‘very sad [and] just processing it all.’

Kardashian adds her marriage wasn’t a sham nor a money-maker for her in any way. In a blog post, Kardashian claims she didn’t make any money from  the reported $17-19,000,000 wedding.

“First and foremost, I married for love,” writes Kim.

“I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! …There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.” – via Kim Kardashian’s blog.

Moreover, Kris Jenner told radio show Johnjay and Rich it COST the 31-year-old money. Hmm….

“She didn’t make a dime off of this wedding. She actually spent millions of dollars on this wedding, so it’s not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after.”

“She’s not the first person in the world to get a divorce or have something like this happen to, and she won’t be the last. She just happens to be a very public person with a couple of television shows on the air so it makes it bigger than life. Kim felt this was the decision for her. I can’t judge her. I can’t speculate for her, I can just love her… It’s just a horrible, horrible situation. People just have to stop judging.” – via Us Weekly.
