Kim Kardashian Will Walk Down Aisle Alone For Her Third Wedding
Kim Kardashian’s father was alive at the time of her first wedding to Damon Thomas. In lieu of the late lawyer, Bruce Jenner walked Kim down the aisle for her second wedding to Kris Humphries. And now, she’s on her third wedding, to Kanye West.
Apparently, she’s grown up a little since the rather arbitrary fairy tale wedding in 2011 that Kris Humphries pointed out could have been to any random guy because Kim just wanted to fulfil the social obligation to please her mother, but she didn’t really want to marry him specifically (she voted by committee whether to take his last name, tried to trick him into having kids by coming off birth control early because her mother demanded grandkids, then cried when her husband asked that they live alone together rather than use her family as a buffer as they did on Kourtney & Kim Take New York).
For the upcoming wedding to Kanye, Kim isn’t going to have anyone walk her down the aisle.
“Kim is planning on walking down the aisle alone because it’s her third wedding and being 33, she feels silly having someone give her away,” says a source. “It would make no sense for her devoted stepdad — who walked her down the aisle when she married Kris Humphries — to perform the ritual again, since he recently split from Kris.”
Although Kim and Kanye didn’t bother inviting Bruce to the “surprise” proposal, he will be invited to the wedding. “But of course Kim still wants Bruce there cheering her on at her next wedding if possible,” the source said. “And Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, will be there in spirit as she glides down the aisle on her own.”
