OK! Magazine: Kourtney Kardashian “At Home With New Baby”
July 11, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Remember OK! Magazine’s “exclusive” first look at Jessica Simpson’s baby, delivery details, and details of her “first day as a new mom” about eight weeks before she gave birth? Well, this is the same thing except OK! worked on its timing a little (speaking of timing, OK! was caught out last week in a pre-written piece about Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes spending time with Tom Cruise on his birthday, clearly fabricated before the divorce announcement but erroneously published anyway).
This week’s OK! cover, like the cover of Life & Style, ignores more-relevant stories and sticks to its tentpoles: the Kardashians.
Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her baby girl recently. OK!’s doesn’t appear to be a real exclusive on this, nor does Life & Style’s, so save your money this week. There’s no real nor pertinent information, since the Kardashians didn’t do their paid reveal yet.
The cover says: “Only in OK! At Home With New Baby! The vintage all-white nursery; Scott: ‘She’ll be daddy’s little girl’; The baby already has four tutus, four bikinis and a ton of shoes. Kourtney’s dreams come true.”
Cut to OK! fabricating another “exclusive” about Kardashian’s postpartum weight loss including Photoshopped before and after photos (which it already did to Simpson AND they did that to Kourtney Kardashian in 2010 after the birth of her son).
She’s a designer, a business woman and a reality television personality, but there is no question that mother is the most important role that Kourtney Kardashian has ever played.
“Being a mom is my favorite thing in the entire world!” says Kourtney, 33, already a mom to Mason, 2. For her second child, Kourt considered having a water birth.
“She wanted to do something all-natural, but Scott [Disick] told her she was crazy and it would be more comfortable if she had the baby at the hospital,” says a confidante. In the end, Scott got his wish and Kourtney agreed to have the baby in the hospital.
“This baby has brought some big changes,” says an insider. “Kourtney has slowed down considerably, even more than she did with Mason. She’s really settling into her role as a mother, and it’s a wonderful thing to see.” – via OK! Magazine.
Note: since they’re both owned by American Media Inc., Reality Weekly Magazine has gone out of print circulation and it will instead only have a digital presence. Not that it’ll be missed, but just in case you wondered.
Another note: isn’t using “new baby” on the cover irritating tautology?
