Kourtney Kardashian’s Daughter Penelope Celebrates 1st Birthday!

Can you believe it has already been a year? On Monday, July 8th, Penelope Scotland Disick celebrated her first birthday! This little girl finally has a chance to shine after the birth of her cousin, North West. Even Kim took a quick break from motherhood to send a happy birthday message to her niece. She tweeted, “Hope my little Peep had the best 1st birthday today”, complete with a smiley face, a heart, and a sun.
Although details of Penelope’s birthday bash have not been revealed, Kourtney and family were spotted shopping for various birthday supplies on Friday. According to Mail Online, they purchased a brightly colored candle tiara, a pretend lawn mower, and a pink flamingo headdress. They also sampled various cakes and candy for the party.
Being a reality TV star while taking over the fashion industry with her sisters keeps Kourtney busy for sure. However, she always makes time to be a supermom for her two children. After giving birth to her firstborn, Mason, Kourtney revealed in an interview that she even makes her own baby food! She told Parenting Magazine: “I steam and puree fruits and vegetables, and they last for like four days. Mason pretty much loves everything. I gave him red beets, and it got all over his face, which made the funniest picture. He also loves sweet potatoes, carrots, and yams. Sometimes I mix pureed peaches, pears, bananas, or apples with plain yogurt or an all-natural organic jelly. I have this great book called Super Baby Food that’s full of ideas.”
Kourtney seems to be thrilled with her two children and role as a mother. Kim is lucky to have such a great mom around for advice with her new baby girl. We cannot wait to watch the sisters’ families continue to grow!
