Kris Humphries: Kayla Goldberg, Accuser In Herpes Lawsuit, Demanded $24 Million To Keep Quiet
September 5, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Last month, a woman sued Kris Humphries for allegedly transmitting herpes to her through unprotected sex.
Kayla Goldberg says she was barely more than a one night stand who hardly knew Humphries, yet she slept with him several times soon after their meeting. She continues, about one week after their encounter(s) (her timeline throws into question the veracity of her claims since herpes can take longer than one week to present symptoms), she supposedly tested positive. She suspects that Humphries gave her the disease and, she says, he knew but failed to warn her. This allegedly happened in August 2010. Humphries met Kim Kardashian at the end of October 2010.
Humphries issued the usual denials at the time. And now, a week later, his lawyer has issued a firmer rebuttal in the form of ANOTHER blackmail claim; it’s like blackmail/ fraud/ shenanigans is the first line of defense for his legal team whenever a woman with whom he’s slept leaves him. He’s accusing estranged wife of marital fraud and friend/ possible ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj of blackmail.
His attorney Lee A. Hutton issued the following statement about Goldberg’s suit: “It is unfortunate that Ms. Kayla Goldberg and her attorneys chose to name my client, Kris Humphries, in a lawsuit alleging such malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. Shortly prior to filing the complaint, Ms. Goldberg demanded $24 million dollars from Kris in exchange to avoid more publicity on the matter. Athletes and celebrities have a legal right to exist without harassment. It is without hesitation that we will vigorously pursue all available remedies to defend and protect Mr. Humphries against these allegations.”
