Kris Jenner Says It’s “Crazy Painful” To Watch Her Contrived Marital Problems On KUWTK

Over the past few weeks, Kris Jenner has enlisted Todd Waterman to appear in cameo on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Waterman is the man with whom Jenner had a real affair 23 years ago that broke up her first marriage. It was also the affair that put her older children in therapy (until their 30s), gave her children relationship anxiety, and, moreover, Khloe Kardashian has childhood memories of Waterman because Jenner would invite her lover to their house where he would play with Jenner’s children.

And now Waterman is some kind of employee (paid or unpaid for his appearances) on the show. It’s probably quite the ratings boon, sure, but it’s also gross to contrive scenarios in which Jenner is interacting with Waterman. And it’s even worse to contrive marital problems just to fit Waterman into the show.

Jenner claims her marital problems are real (they aren’t, not least because Waterman could not be on the show without her approval because she, along with Kim Kardashian, is a producer). Jenner tells Us Weekly Magazine: “I watch it back and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t watch.’ It’s so crazy painful that I can’t watch it.” Sure, sure. It’s “crazy painful” to fabricate relationship woes for ratings, like it’s “crazy painful” to care more about ratings and book sales (her memoir started all this) than to care about her own family.
