Kris Jenner Keeping Kim Kardashian Out Of Spotlight Until K&KTNY Debut

When Kim Kardashian decided to file for divorce, TMZ.com claims she emailed immediate family only; not telling her in-laws, friends, husband, or even E!
The Hollywood Reporter added that Kris Jenner went into pimp momager mode and instructed Kardashian to release the news just after opening on Monday to maximise the week’s publicity, ensure it didn’t get buried on the weekend (Kardashian had reportedly debated the split the weekend prior), and make sure the divorce news reached the tabloids before their Monday deadline. It worked, sort of, and the divorce covered many of that week’s headlines. Only for a backlash the following week.
Now RadarOnline.com claims, in light of the negative publicity, Jenner has instructed Kardashian to stay out of the spotlight so as not to attract any more attention. Reportedly, the family didn’t know their obnoxious greed and famewhoring would backfire like it did. In reaction, they’ve been throwing friends and Kris Humphries under the bus in order to distract from the divorce scandal.
Kris, the 56-year-old Kardashian family matriarch, has gone into major damage control and has laid down the law with her scandal ridden daughter, telling Kim that she has to stay out of the spotlight now that her divorce filing has caused so much bad press for the family.
“They did not anticipate the extreme backlash and the damage it would cause to the [family brand] as a whole. The whole empire has been affected by this dumb marriage and Kris Jenner is all about getting paid,” a source close to the family told RadarOnline.com.
Kim’s public appearances have been strictly limited by her momager since she filed for divorce on October 31, after 72 days of marriage to Kris Humphries and hastily returned from an Australian promotional tour.
“Kim and her sisters are the puppets. Kris is the puppeteer,” the source said about the family dynamics.
Another source [said] that Kris has told Kim that she doesn’t want her to do anything in public or any interviews until their reality show launches next week.
“Kris wants to make sure that the ratings are huge for their show and she knows that if Kim stays under the radar until that airs again they’ll get the maximum publicity out of her situation.” – via RadarOnline.
So, Jenner wants next week’s Kourtney & Kim Smear Kris In New York to have great ratings. It’ll be a huge premiere, for sure. The family has been editing out any footage that’s unflattering to them, scripting and staging incriminating scenes with Humphries and heavy-handidly making him this season’s villain (since they know 12-year-old fans think the show’s actually real).
