Kris Jenner Lie Detector: Is She In Love With Todd Waterman? Would She Cheat Again?
In something of a conclusion to the staged emotional affair between Kris Jenner and the real lover with whom she cheated on first husband Robert Kardashian, Todd Waterman, the matriarch wrapped dinner for the evening and returned home.
At the start of Keeping Up With The Kardashians season seven episode 12, Parent Trapped, Jenner and Waterman’s drinks and dinner go from late afternoon until early evening.
With a very soap opera opening score, Waterman calls Jenner by her former pet name saying “This is pretty romantic, Snooka.” The two joke about who’s “inching closer” to whom and who is “going there.” Jenner explains she needs “closure,” an excuse used a dozen times to the annoyance of Waterman and her husband. Jenner explains in a cutaway: “There [have] been a lot of things that have been left unsaid. And I need some closure to this relationship in order to go on with the rest of my life.” Waterman didn’t want closure, he wanted to reminisce about the little things he remembered about “Snooka,” like how she cleaned his sunglasses.
Then Waterman says, curtly, “Let’s get out of here. What room are we in? Are you tipsy yet? Can we do some shots… come on!”
In voice-over, Jenner says: “Some things just never change. I’m not really quite sure why I’ve built this up in my mind to be such a… fantasy.” To Waterman’s face, she continues: “Don’t you think that, on some level, it would be really cool to walk away as friends? To feel like this is meant to be, to gain some closure… You were very young, we were at two different places and we needed to part for many reasons and I met Bruce, like, three weeks later.” But Waterman doesn’t “want to talk about it anymore, it’s upsetting… Stop with the closure.” Jenner opines in another cutaway: “I think this dinner has taught me a lot of things, and it’s nice to know that I made the right decision. And I’m just really glad that I’m going home to Bruce Jenner.”
Later in the episode, she tells her husband and her older three daughters what happened. When discussing it with the kids, Bruce Jenner admits that Kris Jenner told him “right after” they got married: “I just want you to know, never trust me.” She said “never trust me.” Wow. Her kids decide to make their mother take a lie detector test.
So, what questions were asked (written by the Kardashian sisters and, probably, approved by producers)? What answers were given?
* “Is Kim your favourite daughter?” Kris Jenner replies “yes.”
* “Have you ever taken more than your cut from any of your daughters’ deals?” She replies “no.”
* “Is Robert Kardashian Khloe’s biological father?” She replies “yes.”
*”Do you regret [cheating] on your ex-husband, Robert Kardashian?” She replies “yes.”
* “Are you in love with Todd Waterman?” She replies “no.”
* “Would you like to have an affair with Todd?” She replies “no,” but the machine flutters.
According to the administrator, Jenner passed. The emotional blip on whether she would like to start another affair with Waterman is repressed memories rather a lie. So, in the test staged for the show, Jenner passed those questions. Make of it what you will.
