Kris Jenner May Manage Honey Boo Boo; Honey Boo Boo 24/7 Security After Kidnap Plot?

In early September, Kris Jenner indirectly inserted herself into the TLC reality show whose ratings very nearly competed with her own (TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo averaged 2-3 million viewers-per-episode while TLC’s Breaking Amish was closer to the Kardashian’s consistent 3 million viewers per week). Soon after, sources began to conjecture that Jenner was jealous that the family of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was getting so much attention. Moreover, said sources, Jenner, whose kids include a glorified social climbing porn star, thought Honey Boo Boo’s family was “exploitative.” About which June “Mama” Shannon was mildly indifferent.
And now Star Magazine claims Jenner doesn’t care from whence a cash cow came, so long as she gets to milk it: “Kris realized that they could be a gold mine,” a source tells the tabloid of Jenner’s supposed hopes to manage Honey Boo Boo. “The Thompsons don’t really have any professional representation outside of TLC, and Kris thinks she can get them some serious endorsements and more money from the network. They’re getting a fraction of what Kate Gosselin got.”
Well, reportedly Mama is personally turning down such offers that would take time away from her family.
In other news, National Enquirer says Honey Boo Boo now has 24/7 security after the seven-year-old’s school allegedly received abduction threats, sources say, because someone is convinced TLC would pay a huge ransom for the child star if she were kidnapped.
The tabloid says “June is terrified” and, after a meeting for all of the teachers at the kid’s school, “[the teachers] have been instructed to keep an eye on Alana, and they know to report anything suspicious immediately.” Additionally, there was an attempt to break into the family home in rural McIntyre, Georgia on August 27.
There are conflicting reports about whether the family will move, but multiple people including TLC and Rosie O’Donnell have offered to help the family relocate somewhere bigger and more secure.
Although TLC denies the kidnap claims, Mama confirmed the bodyguard on Facebook, writing: “Alana doesn’t go anywhere without her bodyguard! We have one 24/7 everywhere we go ALL the time!”
