Trial & Error: Kris Jenner Gets the Go Ahead for Talk Show Test Run

This might just be the best week ever for the Kardashians. Between family drama, court cases, and rumored relationship woes, the controversial clan has been in the headlines even more than usual lately. But things are finally looking up, and not just for Kim Kardashian, whose never-ending divorce case miraculously came to an end. Fox’s Twentieth Television just gave Kris Jenner the green light for a new daytime talk show that will premiere on July 15th.

Simply titled Kris, the one-hour series will focus on pop culture as well as fashion and beauty trends. The opportunity comes at the right time for Jenner who has recently received tons of negative press thanks to allegations of neglectful parenting from the late Robert Kardashian’s widow. But don’t get too excited just yet, as the reality TV mastermind will have to prove herself in a six-week trial run of the show.

Not surprisingly, skeptics are already questioning if the mother-of-six has what it takes. It stands to reason, though, that Jenner may in fact have a real shot at success. And Twentieth TV clearly thinks so too. The company enlisted seasoned executive producer Robert Lifton, whose credits include everything from E! TV’s Daily 10 to Fox Sports’ Best Damn Sports Show Period.

During the test run, Jenner will air on limited Fox-owned stations in Los Angeles, New York, and other areas that have yet to be determined. Naturally, the momager has her sights set on nationwide exposure. If she succeeds, Jenner will join the ranks of daytime TV maven Wendy Williams, whose smash hit show also started with a test-run.

If anyone can make it happen, surely it’s reality TV matriarch Kris Jenner.
