Kris Jenner Today Show Interview: We Don’t Use Scripts On Our Reality Shows

Kris Jenner’s Today Show interview briefly addressed the paternity scandal.

This morning Jenner confirmed, yes, there will be some flake DNA test on Keeping Up With The Kardashians season seven, that may or may not establish paternity, since the DNA test on season three only established maternity/ established Khloe Kardashian was not adopted. The family could have tested the siblings against one another to, indirectly, determine paternity. But drawing this out makes them more money. It’s not about closure, or to “put her mind to rest.” It’s another shill.

Jenner is asked a series of tepid questions by host Matt Lauer. Even though, at this point, the matriarch is slick enough to dodge anything she doesn’t feel like answering. And her answers are incorrigibly bogus and misdirecting. There’s always a lie or contrived obfuscation.

And Jenner asserts that the eponymous tentpole is “real,” even though it’s evidently staged, guided, edited, and even executive produced by Jenner herself.

The family has been caught scripting wedding chatter between Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, by TMZ.com, during Kim’s Fairy Tale Wedding: A Kardashian Event. And they were caught doing additional photography (re-shoots) for Kim & Kourtney Take New York season two to frame Kris Humphries as the bad guy. There’s photo/ video proof of the latter deception,  and audio proof of the former. They’re liars who’ve been caught in their lie multiple times, but they refuse to concede.

And, even though it’s evident the on-camera conversations are “guided” (spoon-fed) by producers, Jenner insists the show’s “real,” telling Lauer, “We don’t use scripts, it just plays out… We’re in the middle of shooting season 7. It’s not in the can.”

In the rest of the interview, included below, Jenner addresses other rumours: she denies being fired as the girls’ manager, she denies that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are having marital problems “The reality show was not canceled. That rumor was silly. They are on hiatus that they want to take so Lamar can focus on basketball,” and, asked about the giant lips from the s7 promo, she contines, “Actually, no cosmetic procedure whatsoever. I woke up, and you have to tune in because it’s unbelievable. It’s really crazy what happened, we’re still trying to figure it out.”

Asked why rumours endure and how it affects them, Jenner continued: “The girls sell magazines… it’s easy fodder. So the girls and I work together every single day, and we have an amazing relationship and… I know when to take that [momager] hat off and when to put it on. We have a nice relationship.”

Asked about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Jenner wouldn’t elaborate: “I stopped commenting about the details in my kids’ friendships and relationships, because I get nothing but in trouble. He’s great and she seems happy… We’ve known him for years. He’s a great guy.” Is her daughter in love again? ”You’ll have to ask her that.”

Why keep going, aside from the money? “It’s almost unusual not to have all the cameras in our lives. It’s an opportunity for me as a mom; I get to wake up every single day and work with my kids… It’s somewhat addictive in that… we can’t wait to do it.”

And, finally, what did she think of her daughter’s shoot wearing the cropped wig: “That came up on my computer and I went, ‘where did I get that outfit?’ and then I realized that’s not me.”
