Is Kristen Stewart Lying About How Long She’s Been Cheating?

There are mixed reports today about Kristen Stewart and Snow White & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Stewart, 22, and Sanders, 41, worked together pre-production through post-production in the company of cast and crew. But the cheaters were only caught together last week. Which could mean several things: 1) Stewart and Sanders were careful until a week ago 2) it happened for months, mostly on set, or 3) there was only one set of photos because it only happened once. Who knows?
Everyone has an opinion on what exactly happened.
*July 25, Stewart appeared to be leaking sympathetic information to People.com and GossipCop.com, who’ve both been fighting her corner ever since.
*July 26, she released an actual statement with her name attached to the chagrin of fans who swore until that point the photos were a hoax. In that statement, she called cheating a “momentary indiscretion” suggesting it happened once despite the intimacy of the photos suggesting otherwise.
* July 27, Sanders’ father tells People Magazine that cheating and the casting couch aren’t a big deal and everyone should get over it.
Other pro-Stewart sources say Stewart’s “sorry” it was a “mistake” and she “never had sex” with Sanders because apparently oral in her parked car does not count. Those same sources are rubbishing this quote from British tabloid The People attributed to scorned wife Liberty Ross’ brother.
Leopold Ross reportedly says the affair went on for six-months from production, to post-production, until there was no other reason to communicate except, perhaps, about the SWATH sequel that’s apparently going ahead with Sanders as director.
He says, not clarifying which “she” he’s talking about half the time: “It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week. She made some sacrifices for something she thought was worth it, now she knows, right? Five minutes from her home. Doubt it was worth it but it’s life. It might actually make things better in the long run. [My sister Liberty Ross] wasn’t that happy for a while, but our family is close, she’ll be all right.”
In related news, no, Stewart did not cheat because of “jealousy over [Pattinson’s] friendship” with 2009′s Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin despite a source for HollywoodLife.com conjecturing: “While everyone seems to be blaming Kristen Stewart for cheating on Robert Pattinson, Rob’s relationship with another woman may have drove her to act on her momentary indiscretion.” The extent of Pattinson’s “relationship” with de Ravin admittedly goes no further than hanging out occasionally.
In other related news, Brandi Glanville (whose actor husband Eddie Cibrian famously cheated with country singer LeAnn Rimes) said the following on Twitter: “F**k people. I have always said it takes [two] and a man can’t be stolen, he has to want to leave. Home-wreckers come in PAIRS.”
