Kyle Richards On Her Marriage And RHOBH’s “Negative” Housewife
Kyle Richards and her husband had a bit of a rough season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ latest installment. During filming, it was reported that Mauricio had been caught cheating on his wife, and mother of his three girls (Kyle also has an older daughter from her previous marriage), with another woman. While the couple’s relationship was solid, and still is, it was certainly hard to deal with such a hurtful rumor — and to have to address on the show.
“My husband and I both were [worked up about it]. We were literally like, ‘What?’,” Kyle reveals to People Magazine. “I don’t think anything is perfect in life, but [what we have] is perfect for us. I could not love my husband more. I mean I really love him with all my heart and soul, and he loves me.”
She continues, “He’s an amazing husband, he’s an amazing father, he’s an amazing human being. He did not deserve to be sucked into this, and he didn’t sign up for this spotlight. I did.”
Earlier this month, Kyle explained to press that while she knew there would be a downside to fame, having to experience it firsthand was more difficult than she had imagined.
As for another key detail of season 4, the two new housewives, Kyle says, “Some are really cool and some not as much. We’re very different. I think some were open-minded and nice and some were very closed-minded and very negative energy to me.” Kyle, being the tease that she is, didn’t reveal who she was referring to in regards to each of her comments, but when asked if anyone tried to cast a spell on her, she joked, “That’s what I’m talking about!”
Another housewife Kyle wasn’t too keen on this season was her former friend Lisa Vanderpump. During season 3, the pair’s relationship began to crumble, and once season 4 began production, it all but fell apart. “We have our moments,” Kyle admits of her and Lisa’s relationship. “We’ve had difficulties. We’ve had our issues and that’s addressed this season.”
Also addressed is Kyle’s new friendship with Brandi Glanville. “We’re in a good place,” she says. “People are like, ‘Ooh, they’re best friends.’ We’re in a much better place than we were, obviously, but it can’t get any worse than it was.”
