Dancing With The Train Wrecks: Lance Armstrong Turns Down DWTS Again

Earlier this week, Dancing With the Stars appeared to leak its list of desired candidates for season 16.

This included Lindsay Lohan who has already appeared on one reality show this year and yet she told TMZ.com she would only deign to do another for the money. And this is after she had her accounts frozen by the IRS and after the 7,500 word expose in the NYT about her behavior on the set of The Canyons.

It’s not clear whether Dancing with the Stars offered Lance Armstrong anything like the $550,000 it threw in the direction of Lohan in crumpled singles, although it’s been confirmed that an offer was made.

The spokesperson for the disgraced sportsman confirms in a statement: “Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offers.”

In related Armstrong news, it’s been alleged that the cyclist lied through whole portions of his interview with Oprah. The whole point of the interview was that it was supposed to be no holds barred with honest answers. However, he refused to answer several questions about the more recent doping for which the statute of limitations is yet to expire and he also lied about his involvement in other crimes.

According to the same investigators who have suspected Armstrong of lying for the past decade, he lied right to Oprah’s face when he claimed that the last time he doped during a race was in 2005. Investigators tell ABC News that Armstrong is lying about doping through 2009 and 2010 to protect himself from further criminal charges.

And another agency says he lied to Oprah about “having no knowledge,” vague wording, of his team donating $250,000 to anti-doping authorities. The former head of the agency told the AP, Armstrong’s team offered the dirty money but were turned down.
