Lea Michele Breaks Silence After Cory Monteith’s Death

Since the sudden passing of Glee star Cory Monteith, co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele has been radio silent.

Following reports that Michele planned Monteith’s funeral and attended a memorial service with the rest of the Glee cast and crew, Michele has finally broken her silence.

“Thank you all for helping me through this time with you enormous love and support. Cory will forever be in my heart,” she tweeted on July 29. Along with the tweet, Michele shared a picture of her and Monteith both smiling and looking happy.

It is no doubt that the past few weeks have been extremely difficult for both Michele and friends and family of Monteith.  He was found dead in his Vancouver, Canada hotel room on July 13. It was later released to the public that 31-year-old Monteith had died of a drug overdose- just months after completing a stint in rehab.
