LeAnn Rimes Talks Cheating, Her Stepsons, Her Weight, Wanting Her Own Baby
LeAnn Rimes is still promoting her album, so there are a bundle of tedious, ridiculous quotes missing the point today.
She’s just… comfortable.
She’s comfortable enough with her cheater husband, her stolen family, and her married mistress status to joke about it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Asked by DeGeneres, she’s forthcoming… if too lighthearted, considering she boned someone else’s husband and helped break up a family.
The singer claims to put her stepsons first, the kids whose life she’s in because she boned their married father. She claims she’s taking the high road… ugh. She claims she’s over it. Which must be nice for her, since she’s 50% of the problem. It’s so nice she’s decided she’s over the heartbreak to which she contributed.
“You have to really take the high road a lot of the time when you want to stand on a mountain and scream like, ‘Why are you saying this?’” said Rimes.
“We’ve always put his kids first. We took the kids into consideration with everything that we do. Sometimes you just want to scream. But you don’t. We’ve learned to let it go and laugh at it, at the end of the day.”
“It happens.”
“I will always say, it could’ve been handled a lot better. But maybe we both didn’t have the tools at the time to do it properly. But I’ve learned a lot… Obviously we all make choices that lead us into a different path, here and there, and you learn from those or you don’t. We made decisions that were not necessarily the right ones… but it obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And we’re happy, and we’re married…”
“I think we have both come to a really good place in our lives. And right now, I’m really at peace.”
DeGeneres sidetracked from the cheating to allegations that Rimes is anorexic or bulimic, the singer denies being either.
“[The media has been] irresponsible calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be. It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through,” said Rimes.
Rimes also gave an interview about her stolen family, and hopes to outdo Brandi Glanville with her own babies, to Country Weekly Magazine, “[I’m] enjoying every minute… [my stepsons] are awesome. And it does make me want to have a child eventually. I enjoy being a stepmom and I’d really love to have a child of our own, but we’ll see.”
