LeAnn Rimes Talks About Being “Fat” & Staging Paparazzi Photos
LeAnn Rimes went on Chelsea Lately to shill her bones and the album named after her extramarital affair, Lady & Gentlemen (after herself, her husband and his two young sons).
The singer admitted the obvious: yes, she does call paparazzi to stage pictures. Which means, yes, she has their private numbers, and they have hers, and she tells them where she is in order to stage posed-looking photo opportunities.
Many examples have occurred on the beach, where Rimes was once caught by Twitter users as she arranged a shoot with GSI Media who were her go-to agency. The location exposed, Flynet Pictures and Splash News and photographers from other paparazzi agencies crashed the glorified photo shoot during which bystanders were overheard exclaiming “Oh, GOD, she’s POSING!”
Rimes doesn’t make a very good model and she often gives the game away by pointing at and staring at the paparazzi when they’re around, in photos later revealed to have been staged.
“[Paparazzi] just follow us everywhere. It’s quite annoying,” said Rimes, not admitting that she’s paid for the photos. “[But] I have actually set a photograph up to get people to leave me alone. Once the photographs are taken then they’re done. It’s not something that you go do often… Like we’ll set photographs up for our wedding so we know everything’s taken care of and it’s going to be done the way we want to do it… But yeah, certain ones where I’m like picking a wedgie out of my butt in a bathing suit. I definitely didn’t set that up.”
The singer also addressed her weight and said she used to be fat and that’s why people see her as an emaciated married mistress: “I was a baby. You’ve known me since I was 13. I was fat. Baby fat… and then, I grew up.”
