LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian Hire Actors To Play Brandi Glanville And Her Sons On Upcoming Series

August 14, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian will soon be starring in their own VH1 scripted reality series. The show will give fans a look inside the high profile lives of these two celebrities as they juggle their careers while struggling to deal with Eddie’s reality star ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, and co-parent the two kids they share. However, Brandi and the kids, Mason, 10, and Jake, 6, won’t actually be on the show. Instead, LeAnn and Eddie will be hiring actors to play their parts.

After joining the second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi was filmed briefly with her kids during a party at the home of her former friend Adrienne Maloof. At the time, Eddie didn’t seem to mind, but once she was invited back to the series as a full-time housewife, he went to court demanding that their sons not be involved in filming.

Eddie’s decision to keep the boys away from the cameras may have seemed like a good idea back then, but now that he and LeAnn have landed their own show, it’s presented a problem. Without the participation of the boys, he and LeAnn can’t accurately document their lives together. This is where their series becomes “scripted” and the actors come in.

“They are going to have actors play Brandi and the kids’ characters in the show,” an insider confirms to In Touch Weekly. ”LeAnn and Eddie were so against the kids being on RHOBH that they can’t have them in this.”

Since their show is not true reality, it will be interesting to see how viewers take to it. For years, the public has wanted to see inside their very complicated situation with Brandi, but could a scripted series really do that? Or will LeAnn and Eddie just shoot the show in the light that they want to portray themselves?

LeAnn and Eddie’s show is set to premiere this fall on VH1.
