Star Magazine Sticks to the Kanye West & Leyla Ghobadi Cheating Scandal Despite Protests

Kanye West has already come out and said he didn’t cheat on pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian with Canadian model Leyla Ghobadi. Kardashian’s best friend Jonathon Cheban told HollywoodLife.com on a radio interview yesterday that the rumors are false. ”I was with them that night and I know they never set foot in that nightclub,” Cheban said.
HollywoodLife Editor in Chief Bonnie Fuller has called Ghobadi’s bluff and attacked the model, calling her “a scam artist” and that the “cheating story was disgusting.” Fuller even goes on to criticize Ghobadi for putting Kardashian, who is in her final trimester, through unwarranted stress that could harm her baby. ”Kim Kardashian is pregnant – Have some respect!” Fuller said in her article.
Fuller even goes onto point out that Star magazine, who broke the news, admitted to not having any proof aside from a fan photo backstage on Kanye’s concert. She never provided the text messages she supposedly had from West and both Kardashian and Cheban said they were with the rapper on the nights of the supposed affair.
Still, with all of these protests and denials Star magazine is sticking to their story.
“A friend of Leyla’s approached us about it and we reached out to Leyla,” says Star Deputy Editor Matt Coppa. “As recently as two weeks ago, Kanye West’s people contact Leyla for a meet up the weekend of June 7th through June 9th where Kanye was going to be in New York City for the Governor’s Ball.”
Coppa says that Leyla felt bad about their affair only after she learned Kardashian was pregnant. She claims Kanye told her his relationship with Kim was just for publicity and to grow their fan base. It definitely wasn’t serious. Coppa also claims to have evidence of phone records between West and Ghobadi, according to Fox News.
As for Cheban’s story? Coppa says Cheban is simply doing damage control and would say whatever the Kardashian clan told him to say.
“They will go after every outlet they can and they’ll use all the people they know to sort of defend themselves in every sort of situation. They’re very ravenous as far as that goes because their empire is at stake.”
