Life & Style: Kris Humphries May Sue For $10 Million, Is He Homophobic?

November 22, 2011 by Hollywoodite

The week after the divorce was announced, it was pretty apparent that Life & Style were still pro-Kardashian after years of being the family’s go-to for lifestyle exclusives. Star and In Touch Weekly’s post-divorce covers were very anti-Kardashian, blaming the whole family’s greed for their negative PR. L&S remained more neutral, waiting to see how things panned out. They’d made a lot of money off the Kardashians, and it would appear they wanted the relationship to continue.

Hence, this week’s anti-Kris Humphries smear campaign in which they paint him as litigious, greedy and (maybe) homophobic. L&S’ cover reads: “The Kardashians’ Biggest Fear: Kris Sues Kim For $10 Million… Now It’s War. The Kardashians go ballistic as Kris’ family exposes all their dirty secrets.”

Kim Kardashian is about to be dealt another blow. Insiders reveal exclusively to Life & Style that Kim’s estranged husband Kris Humphries has met with a legal team and is preparing to sue for $10 million.

“Kris has a legal team investigating his options,” the insider tells the new issue of Life & Style. “He’s claiming his role on Kourtney & Kim Take New York is bigger than he was told, and that’s why he wants more money. But Kris is also suing because he’s really worried about how badly he’s going to be portrayed on the series.”

Life & Style has learned that Kris is particularly concerned about explosive footage of him bullying Kim’s best friend Jonathan Cheban; scenes that stand to tarnish Kris’ wholesome Midwestern image.

“Midway through the season, Kris starts bullying Kim’s best friend, Jonathan Cheban, about his sexuality,” shares a Kim pal. “Jonathan isn’t gay, but Kris accuses him of being gay and criticizes him for it in a really homophobic way. Jonathan is really upset.”

As is Kim. “Kris used the word ‘gay’ as an insult, to try and hurt Jonathan,” an E! insider tells Life & Style. “He’s the lowest of the low bullying someone like this.”

While it’s too late for him to stop the premiere from airing, Kris has retained lawyer Lee Hutton III and is trying his hardest to prevent the most inflammatory moments from being broadcast. Kris, his family and his friends maintain that much of Kris’ appearance on Kourtney & Kim was scripted, including scenes in which he ponders Jonathan’s sexuality, and that he’s not homophobic.

“Little did Kris know that he was being set up,” his father, William Humphries, tells Life & Style exclusively. “Kris got used. 100 percent used.” – via Life & Style Magazine.

It was pretty clear watching the Kourtney & Kim Take New York trailers that Humphries would be painted as the bad guy. It’s the family show, they hold all the cards. Although Kim Kardashian is not an executive producer, any footage she doesn’t like comes out during editing. Pimp momager Kris Jenner is an executive producer and this is going to be the season they defame/ smear Humphries and paint him as the antagonist who is single-handedly responsible for the failure of his marriage.

And now there’s this.

It would appear L&S is complicit in the negative press, right?

Their story about Kristin Cavallari being engaged, yesterday, was not true (also featured on the cover, despite her denial). And Cavallari called out the magazine for last week’s cover claiming she had an affair with Scott Disick (she claimed the family were that desperate for press, throwing her under the bus to distract from the divorce).

And now Humphries’ supposed lawsuit.

The Kardashians are the greediest family ever. They even got an ITW cover to that affect. They’re fame and money-hungry. If anyone would sue, it would be them. Yet, Humphries is supposedly preparing to sue for being the sudden focus (read: scapegoat) this season. For being “used” and set-up by producers. And he’s saying what we already know: the show is fake/ scripted/ staged/ heavily-edited.

Lawsuits are absolutes… so, we’ll see if he actually sues. Moreover, if he used homophobic slurs on K&KTNY, we’ll see those following the weekend’s premiere (if no such comments air, L&S will claim the supposed lawsuit is why… not that it may have never happened).
