Lindsay Lohan & Paris Hilton “Only Hanging Out Because They Know It Makes A Better Picture”

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton have been damaging each others’ reputations and sobriety by hanging out at clubs until 4 a.m.. The former friends, who are now pretending to be close for the column inches, were photographed three-days in a row spending time together at Hilton’s home and in assorted Malibu clubs. It was a mess of lies and coke-shenanigans as Lohan claimed to drink nothing and she blamed paparazzi for pushing her because drunks never fall down after a night of drinking.

Hilton has been pulling the same stunt for a while; making sure that most paparazzi photos included her and her sister. She did the same on her reality show and carted out most of her family, a flailing Brooke Mueller, and her friends who weren’t even famous. It was a game of hedge your bets and hope for the best. Hilton had been photographed with Mueller before anyone knew the premise of the reality show and even then people realised Hilton was using Mueller because it made a good story.

Hilton and Lohan are reportedly doing the same. After years of not speaking, they’re probably only using each other to get photographed more often and because it makes a better photo.

“They’ve put their past behind them and have bonded over all the stuff they have in common,” says a source.

“They both feel screwed over by Hollywood and their older friends… Secretly I think they’re only hanging out because they know it makes a better picture. They want to be super-famous again!” – via Us Weekly.

That’s all supposition of a source but it sounds right. Lohan’s less-inclined to rely on the celebrity of others to prop up her own fame. Hilton’s been doing it for years though. And it’s a trick used with greater success by former lackey Kim Kardashian. Kardashian has the common sense to hang with people who are current, relevant, and who have legitimate celebrity – Vera Wang, Kanye West, Ciara, The-Dream – or whomever, so some of that legitimacy rubs off on her.
