Blogger Digs Up Lindsay Lohan’s Past in Tell-All Memoir

April 26, 2013 by Staff

Lindsay Lohan just can’t seem to escape her past. First, David Letterman poked and prodded into her personal life during the April 9th taping of his show. Although he eventually praised Lohan’s efforts to learn from her past, Letterman clearly couldn’t resist the topics that have followed the actress for years—drugs, alcohol, and legal trouble.

And just when everyone was ready to move on from that uncomfortable interview, gossip blogger Nik Richie is here to remind you—as if anyone had forgotten—of the sordid details of Lohan’s tumultuous past. In his new tell-all memoir Sex, Lies, and The Dirty, the blogger-turned-author recalls seeing LiLo snort coke. The alleged incident took place in the women’s restroom at a Miami club on New Year’s Eve 2009. “Lindsay goes straight for the toilet, pulling her dress up and sitting (no underwear),” Richie writes. “And one of her breasts is hanging out the top of the dress.”

He attempts to capture something critical for the actress—the moment when everything begins to unravel. After explaining how Lilo casually does lines of coke, the blogger recalls with disbelief: “…the chick from Mean Girls doing blow on the toilet next to me. She’s not the same girl anymore.” But the story, packed with salacious details and vivid imagery, misses the mark somehow. After all, Lohan admitted that she tried the drug back in 2010. And that might also explain her rep’s dismissive response to the Richie’s book. “We have no comment on an alleged incident that dates back to 2009. Clearly an obvious attempt at using Lindsay to sell books.”

There is at least one other person who thinks Richie is out to make a profit at the 27-year-old’s expense. Her father, Michael Lohan, told RadarOnline: “No wonder the title of the book is Sex, Lies & The Dirty because I don’t believe any of it for a second.” Of course Mr. Richie was then obligated to respond. “I have no reason to lie,” the writer said in a statement to RumorFix. “Lindsay Lohan was an actress at one point in her career. Now she is the poster child of what drugs do to a celebrity.” And just in case you weren’t already questioning his credibility, he ended by saying: “They don’t call her Blo-han for nothing.”

But confining the star to her past is unfair for the simple fact that her story isn’t over yet. She’s set to enter rehab on May 2nd. Though she’s tried and failed several times, this might just be the beginning of a new chapter for LiLo.
