Us Weekly: Lindsay Lohan Was Six Hours Late To The Glee Set
April 27, 2012 by Hollywoodite
There are several damning reports about Lindsay Lohan’s time at the Glee set Wednesday.
Earlier this week, the 25-year-old did the heavy-lifting with her lines and director Eric Stoltz gushed to TMZ.com that Lohan had been “very professional,” courteous, and hard-working at that time.
Except, Stoltz wasn’t randomly gushing. Instead, he was defending Lohan who’d arrived late on Wednesday following an appearance at a Star Magazine party on Tuesday. TMZ Live said Lohan left Star’s party at 10:30 p.m., sober. But Lohan was still late to the Glee set the following morning. Inspiring one Glee actress to rant on Twitter (only to delete the tweet afterward).
New sources have since come forward with more detail. Although, there’s still an infuriatingly-large discrepancy about how late Lohan was to set Wednesday morning; lateness that production sources told TMZ “didn’t hold up production.”
E! Online takes the middle-ground, with its sources claiming Lohan was “terribly late,” so production sent a car to the Chateau Marmont hotel to pick up the actress and bring her to set. The source explains: “Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday. She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn’t want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her.”
Dubbing Lohan “That girl,” a second E! source says: “She has rubbed [cast and crew] up the wrong way by being so disrespectful of everyone else’s schedule.”
Long-suffering rep Steve Honig explains away the tardiness as production’s fault, the cast’s perception, and a simple misunderstanding. In short, it’s everyone else’s fault: “The production team came to us and said that they wanted to start [with Lindsay] right after lunch, which was at 2. They wanted to begin with Lindsay at 3, so that meant she had a lot of time where she wasn’t doing anything. That’s why people didn’t see her. She was then in hair and makeup and began after lunch at 3. If there was a problem yesterday, I would have just said ‘no comment,’ however I can’t ignore this because this is utter B.S. This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is on set again today.”
Us Weekly’s sources today were less-forgiving, claiming the actress was SIX HOURS LATE; not three hours, as claimed by E! Online’s sources. Six. Hours. Late. A source told the tabloid: “She came to set with a million demands and was not prepared to work. One of her demands has to do with her trailer size. The cast is already worked to death and then she puts everything behind. She is a diva!”
In other Lohan news that will shock no one: Lohan missed her 1 p.m. flight to Washington D.C. where she is planning to attend the White House Correspondants’ Dinner, sitting at a table with Kim Kardashian as guests of Fox News. Lohan reportedly hopes to make a later plane, but missed her intended flight with fellow guests including her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley and George Clooney.
