Watch Lindsay Lohan’s Full Today Show Interview With Matt Lauer

March 1, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Lindsay Lohan’s full Today Show interview with Matt Lauer has finally been released, following the release of the transcript and yesterday’s preview. As expected, it’s a promotional shill designed to assuage the concerns of the industry; an industry that’s lost faith in her. It’s also pretty repetitive and full of those softball questions we all saw coming. With Lauer mollycoddling Lohan and literally framing this as a “comeback” with her age 25, the last time they spoke when she was 19-years-old.

This is a two part interview. Breaking down part ONE of two… this part is looking back at her past decisions with what feels like copy pastas of post-breakdown interviews Britney Spears did about the abusive enablers with whom she surrounded herself because she too was “lonely.” Lohan says she was “ignorant” of the people using her, but they’re gone and she’s now left with her family. Asked who she trusts, she names them leaving out her father: “I trust my family, my mom, my sister and my brothers. I have a really great group of people that I work with now.”

And here’s part TWO of two. This one leans more towards her legal situation, the judge, and her community service at the morgue with lots of scripted-sounding superlatives to which Lauer reacts positively with even more kiss-a$$ compliments about how much she’s changed. Time will tell, Lauer. There’s no need to coddle Lohan with leading questions about redemption.

Asked where she thinks she’ll be in another five-years (it’s been six since they last spoke), Lohan says she hopes to have won an Oscar. ORLY? YA RLY!
