Lindsay Lohan May Be Unemployed Again, Gotti Movie Ran Out Of Money

October 13, 2011 by Hollywoodite

The movie to which Lindsay Lohan has only had the most tenuous of links, after being demoted to a lesser-part with nudity and then the reveal that she’d signed no contracts, is in danger of being shut down. According to Deadline Hollywood, the film’s producer has fallen short and the film’s running out of money. Basically, it was producer Marc Fiore’s role to secure finance for the project expenses including star salaries… and he’s come up short. Not least because the salaries are over-the-top for a supposed “indie film.”

That comeback Lindsay so desperately needs might not happen after all! Earlier this year, Linds booked a role in the biopic Gotti: In The Shadow Of My Father, a film about the gangster starring John Travolta and Al Pacino. But now, filming is on the verge of being shut down, reports Deadline.

Producer Marc Fiore does not have the cash to finance the movie’s production, says Deadline: “… payments to several of the stars didn’t materialize. An expected early 2012 start date now seems unlikely.”

Fiore reportedly promised actors too much money without the backing. Travolta was hired for $10 million, Pacino for $7 million… high salaries for an indie film. The movie ran into problems earlier this year when star Joe Pesci said producers had given him a raw deal and backed out of his contract. – via X17Online.

So, Lohan could be out of another proposed job before the first quarter of 2012. She was also booted from the Steven Soderbergh project, Magic Mike, after he decided she wasn’t worth the effort. Same deal with the Inferno: Linda Lovelace biopic, when the director decided the same. So she’s left with… being someone’s mistress on the payroll or someone’s hired girlfriend for $500,000 at a time.
