Lindsay Lohan Caught On Video Buying A Bag Of White Powder
August 11, 2011 by Hollywoodite
Lindsay Lohan was the subject of a mini-scandal/ storm in a teacup, yesterday afternoon, when she was filmed by several paparazzi agencies exchanging something that looked like cash for something that looked like a zip-lock bag of white powder. Lohan is a recovering cocaine addict. Idk whether coke even comes in baggies the size of a fist or whether drug deals would usually be conducted out in the street in the day. Probably not. But that didn’t stop X17Online and others running away with themselves a little, because Lohan would never do drugs… in the street… that’s what her house is for.
The video shows Lohan sitting with friends. Someone walks up with a baggy and the friend to her right examines it. The bag is paid for and there’s some more examining of the bag. Because there was such a potent mix of crack-shenanigans and examining baggies, Lohan’s publicist had to step in for some damage control.
“[X17] knowingly and consciously making inferences about Lindsay that are completely untrue, and creating a fictitious story to get more people to visit their site… We were not given a chance to comment on this story before it went up, and no effort was made to gather the facts about what actually occurred… When I addressed this with the agency, they told me ‘We’re not the New York Times.’ They have made a horrific mistake; the worst part is, they know it but don’t care.” – via RadarOnline.
They don’t care. Nope. They got their spike in page views and they went home happy. That’s kind of how that works. It’s not right, but they’re hardly the only ones doing it, either.
Realising there may be 10% less crack-shenanigans than first thought, X17Online has since updated their post with, “The bag contained crystals that had been purchased for Lindsay at a local shop,” and no commentary suggesting that they buy this excuse. RadarOnline make more of an effort with their explanation. The bag contained, “Sea jasper, a meteor, rose quartz and quartz, purchased by her pal from a store down the street.”
